　　隨著中國對外交流與合作的不斷深入，英語翻譯作為語言交流中不可或缺的一環(huán)，在社會發(fā)展的各個領域中扮演著越來越重要的角色。實現(xiàn)翻譯的高水平發(fā)揮，離不開科學的翻譯方法。本文簡要歸納和總結(jié)了英語翻譯中常用的翻譯方法，希望有助于英語翻譯理論的發(fā)展。

　　如何翻譯英語加減乘除、分數(shù)、小數(shù)及百分數(shù)

　　1.表達形式

　?、欧謹?shù)

　?、倩疽?guī)則：子基母序 (即：分子用基數(shù)詞，分母用序數(shù)詞)

　　1/3 one third 1/8 one eighth 1/12 one twelfth

　?、诋敺肿哟笥?時，分母要加s變成復數(shù)。

　　2/3 two thirds 3/8 three eighths 5/12 five twelfths

　　③特殊的表達：

　　1/4 可以表示為 one fourth 或者 a quarter

　　3/4 可以表示為 three fourth 或者 three quarters

　　小數(shù)點前后的數(shù)均按基數(shù)詞來讀，小數(shù)點讀成point， 小數(shù)點后的數(shù)字逐位讀出。

　　漢語中先讀百分號，再讀數(shù)字;英語中恰恰相反：先念出數(shù)字，再加上百分號percent

　　2.由分數(shù)、小數(shù)或百分數(shù)構(gòu)成主語時，其后的謂語跟分數(shù)、小數(shù)或百分數(shù)的單復并無關(guān)系，而是由這些數(shù)后的名詞的情況來決定。

　?、女斔揎椀拿~是不可數(shù)名詞或可數(shù)名詞的單數(shù)時，謂語用單數(shù)。

　?、飘斔揎椀拿~是可數(shù)名詞的復數(shù)時，謂語用復數(shù)。

　　1.加減乘除公式

　　⑴ A+B=C A plusB equals/is C

　　20+5=25 Twenty plus 5 equals/is twenty-five.
